Missions Center in the Heart of Africa (CEMICA) is an interdenominational non-profit Christian ministry, with an international missionary vision. Headquartered in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, this ministry exists in three countries with contact in three other countries. Its 396 students to date have included participants from 55 Christian denominations (Evangelicals, Baptists, Pentecostals, and others).

Vision - The goal of CEMICA is to see African churches get involved in the cross-cultural mission with unreached peoples, in response to the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Matthew 28: 19; Acts 1:8)

Mission - The purpose of CEMICA is to:

  • Mobilize churches to engage in missions amongst unreached and under-reached people;
  • Train members of these churches (pastors and lay people) for cross-cultural ministries;
  • Send out African missionaries in partnership with the churches.

Specific objectives

  • To help churches to undertand why, how, and where the harvest is plentiful in Africa and in the rest of the world (Mathew 9:37, 38; John 4:35)
  • To help participants to grasp the strategic aspects of engaging in missions in the modern African context (Hosea 4:6; Ephesians 1:19 - 21)
  • To facilitate the task of churches in their first efforts to send missionaries outside their countries (Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14, 15.
